Outreach coordinator Marta Toran has launched the Water on the Move outreach website that will engage local communities in western North Carolina with hands-on K-12 activities related to hydrology and water resources. The site will feature freely available lesson plans and course materials that can be shared with educators both locally and across the world. This initiative will utilize the Department's mobile laboratory, the Geobago, to bolster existing outreach efforts as part of an Environmental Protection Agency funded project.
