Dr. Sarah Evans' most recent first-author paper, which was published in JGR: Biogeosciences and titled “Control of short-stature vegetation type on shallow ground temperatures in permafrost across the eastern Canadian Arctic.”, was selected to be featured as an Editor’s Highlight on EOS: https://eos.org/editor-highlights/its-cool-to-be-short-when-youre-in-the-arctic-permafrost. EOS is the science news magazine of the American Geophysical Union. Her work involved undergrad GES major Alex Brodie and Appalachian State Geography & Planning faculty member Dr. Maggie Sugg.
