Get Involved in Outreach!
There are many ways to get involved in the department, such as through research, teaching, meeting with guest speakers and giving visitors tours of our facilities. Outreach is also an integral part of the GES department and both geology and environmental science majors are encouraged to participate in educational events we facilitate for K12 schools and the general public. Some things to know:
- No experience is necessary to participate in outreach.
- There are volunteer opportunities and paid internship positions.
- There are events to fit everyone's schedule (sign up for as many or as few as you'd like)
