"Water on the Move" Teacher Workshop

About:

WOTM PD Workshops aim to give K12 teachers the resources to implement Water on the Move hands-on activities in their classroom. These workshops are interactive and teachers try the activities themselves, become familiar with the equipment such as Vernier LabQuests and groundwater models, as well as learn about all the supplementary materials available and optional collaborative data collection with other schools. Workshops usually include:

  • Stipend to cover travel to workshop
  • Lesson materials
  • Sample equipment and teaching aids
  • Optional Geobago visit to participant's school
  • Access to WOTM equiment grants up to $1000

The PD Workshop, loaner kits and all lesson materials are available FREE of charge to educators thanks to the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Appalachian State University, a partnership with Vulcan Materials Company and funding awarded by the EPA Environmental Education Grant program.

If you have questions, please contact Marta Toran (toranml@appstate.edu)
