Professional and academic geoscientists from around the Southeast converged on the North Carolina High Country for the 79th annual meeting of the Carolina Geological Society. aGES faculty Ellen Cowan, Andy Heckert, and Keith Seramur served as trip leaders, guiding participants in investigation of landslides, streams, and other items of geologic interest. Trip participants were treated to a picnic lunch in the Department's Fred Webb Outdoor Geology Laboratory (the "Rock Garden").
