D. Randy Blood is the founder of DRB Geological Consulting. He is an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist that specializes in petrophysics of shale gas basins. In addition to leading field courses throughout the Appalachian Basin, Randy works extensively with the DAGGER (Devonian Anoxia, Geochemistry, Geochronology, and Extinction Research) group at Appalachian to analyze the stratigraphy and sedimentology of Devonian rocks in North America, and uses multiple methodologies (geochemical as well as geophysical) to understand ancient mudrock depositional environments.
